Hi Jamie,
My name is Falyn and I am in ninth grade at Bay View. I was shocked when I heard what happened to you and I wanted to
let you know how bad I feel, along with all of my Bay View friends that heard the news. We all wanted to say that we are very,
sincerely sorry about what happened to you. It is so rare and it's really terrible that you had to be a victim. But, on a brighter note,
I hope that when you become well enough, you will go to Bay View, like you had planned. It's a great school, you'll love it, and all
of us students can't wait to meet you. I will continue to pray for you and mention you when we give our "special intentions" at BVA.
Get well soon and as soon as you can, get back on that ice. Don't let this slow you down. Keep up the good work with hockey
and KEEP ON FIGHTING!! Jamie, I hope to meet you very soon.
    Sincerely,
         Falyn Brennan
Dear Jamie, I recently moved from my home, and have been out of touch with the news, so I am just hearing of your accident.  I am so sorry that this happened to you.
I know how strong you are, both physically and mentally, you wouldn't have gotten this far if you weren't.  The stories your mother would tell me about you and your
accomplishments would always amaze me, and that is what you are, amazing.  I am sure that you will accomplish your dream of going to the Olympics,
but you are already an Olympian in your effort to recover.  You are my new hero for strength and determination.  Please tell your mom that I am thinking of her,
she is a great lady and a source of strength.  I will keep both of you in my prayers.  Godspeed
Love, Denise Hefner
Hi BEAUTIFUL,

We are with you all the way. We LOVE you.
Love,
Auntie and Tony

Hello Jamie, Mr. and Mrs. Coyle!
It's Miss Macedo, your 5th grade teacher! I am so happy to hear that you are making so much progress - though, I am not surprised,
because you are so tough, and such a fighter!  You are in my thoughts everyday, and I know you will continue to get better with every passing day.
You have a lot of people who love you and are rooting for you, Jamie - including everyone at B.F. Norton.  I will continue to check for updates
on your site - and this weekend, I plan on painting my toes red, in your honor. Don't give up, Jamie!
                                 Love,
                                    Miss Macedo
Hi Jamie,

My name is Jenna.  I've been a big fan of hockey for several years (since high school).  I'm writing from Marquette, Michigan as a Northern
Michigan University Wildcat fan.  I read up on what happened to you at  your hockey tournament on USCHO.com, where I'm known as "hockeynmu3214".

I'm glad to see that you are improving everyday.  I'm keeping you in my prayers, and I hope that you get well soon.

I can't wait to hear about how you led your team to the NCAA Women's Hockey title one day.

Jenna Ball (hockeynmu3214); Marquette, MI
Hi Jamie
you do not know me but my daughter is 14 and loves the game as much as you do .
I bet you would be fast friends.your spirit and your spunk are amazing, you really are
a fighter ! thats great!my daughter has had a rough time of it hockey wise
also. It is not as serious or scary as what you went through (she has juvenile arthritis)but she was unable
to play for a long time so she knows how you feel about that part...it drove her crazy but she learned
not to push it and at times it was very frustrating .Now she is playing again!so  hang in there .. take
care of yourself first and foremost ... you have a lot of love around you . you seem like a really special
person ..  hockey will follow ... tell your family to take care of themselves too .. and the most important
thing..eat lots of chocolate ice cream! :-) I will keep my eye on your progress but from what I
can see ..  you will be doing great things in no time. sending warm wishes and prayers to you and your family

Hi Jamie!

I remember you from when you were a Mite with your blonde hair flowing out of your helmet.  I even remember your picture in the USA Hockey
mag!!   You were a tough competitor way back then and I know you're even better now!  My prayers are with you for continued strength and
your full recovery.

Good luck to all your friends in the "Fight for 7" tourney this weekend.  Jamie, you've got a TON of people behind you out there!

Dear Jamie and Coyle Family,

I wanted to let you know I have been thinking of you and know that you will have a speedy recovery.  Jamie, it's been a long time since the day
we met in my office and you've grown up so much.  Sharon, I know you are keeping everyone on their toes to be certain that Jamie gets the treatment
that she needs.

If the school department can be of any help, please let me know.

Sending good thoughts your way,
Donna Morelle
Jaime,

Way back in Mites when you played with Andrew, we knew you were one of the toughest kids out there. If anyone can come back from this, it is you!
You also have a strong family behind you. I don't know if you remember us, but you played with our son for a short time years ago in PYHA.
He too has a congenital heart condition that unfortunately stopped him from playing all sports but yours is definately a "come back" and you will
be sone known as the "come back girl"! Everyone is pulling for, and praying for you and your family.

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers!

Len, Heather & Andrew Vine
Hi Jamie,

I play hockey at St. Lawrence University, and I happened to come
across your story on the USCHO.com message board and could not help
but respond.  I can't express my sympathy enough for you especially
about something like this at such a young age.  However, the love of
the game always prevails over anything life throws at you, and from
reading other messages everyone knows you will be back on the ice.  I
wish you the best of luck in your recovery and a fast one as well.

Sean Flanagan

Hi Jamie,

I just learned about your situation on the internet tonight, so I wanted to send you an email on behalf of my coaching staff and my players to wish you a speedy recovery.
My wife and I have an 11 year old daughter (although she would naturally remind me that she's actually 11 and a half) who plays hockey for the Buffalo Bisons U12B team,
so your story hits very close to home.  Let your parents and other family members know that people from far and wide are thinking very positive thoughts for you and your family
as you all go through this together just like a hockey team goes through a tough season together knowing that better days are ahead!  The key is you are going through this
together and that collective strength will lead to a "winning season" for you as you recover!

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
Sincerely
Coach Burke

Jamie,

It was great to finally see you and your mom!  We were thrilled to see you smiling, laughing and talking to us all night.  You will be home in no time.

Love,
Steve, Dana & Taylor
Hi Jamie you may not know us but we heard about you from Jim Hopgood. From everything that he has told us, we are so proud of all the
progress you've done in the past 21 days. Your an amazing girl and very strong. Keep up the good work. we would love to see you play on the ice again.
Keep up the good work! our prayers are with you!

love always,
Jim,Joanne,Jessica and Jacqueline Hopgood.
Jamie, Sharon and Jim

Your trials remind us that many years ago our 6 week old daughter was diagnosed with the flu only to learn days later that she needed major abdominal surgery to correct
pyloric stenosis, a condition that prevented food from leaving her stomach through the intestines.  She became severely dehydrated and we stayed in the hospital with her
for days while she was literally in a fight for her life.  By the grace of God she not only recovered but also went on to excel in travel team and boys high school hockey,
continued to make noteworthy contributions at the college level, represented her country on several national teams, and still pursues her passion for the sport through
intercollegiate coaching.  We realized our miracle.  God is still in that business.  Yours is in progress!  Keep the faith!  we pray for your complete recovery, the next shift,
next period, next game, and beyond.

Peter
Jamie and Sharon,
I don't even know where to begin. I am in shock! I have just found out about what has been going on. See what happens when your kids get older, you loss touch with the hockey world.
I have spent the last hour reading all the articles and websites and tournament information and crying my eyes out. You are two of the strongest WOMEN I know. I know you will both pull
through this together along with the rest of the family. You know we are all here for you if you need anything. Just think Jamie, it will be your medals the next time you hold them.
We are wishing you all the best and we will be thinking of you every day. Just like in hockey, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! you will be back on the ice before you know it. STAY STRONG!!!
Love, Brenda and the boys (Ed, Chad and Cody)
When we first met you, you were just a toddler roaring like a tiger at
your parents wedding.  You have always been a fighter.  Just keep on
fighting and we hope to see you back on the ice.  Our hopes and
prayers are with you and your family.  If you need anything we are
here for you.
Clark and Michele Donatelli
Jamie, Jim & Sharon,
We want to let you know we are thinking of you everyday.  Hoping each day is a better one.
You are in our thoughts and prayers!

you'll be on the ice gettting hat tricks again!!! You have a few of those under your belt already, right?

Sharon it was great to talk with you this morning.  Hang in there, take care of yourself, get some rest and much needed sleep,
Jamie's going to need all of your strength!!!  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers, especially "blondie" =).

Hi Jamie:

My name is Rich. I skated competitively for 14 years and have been a hockey fan (of all levels) since I hung them up.
I'm writing from Madison Wisconsin as a life long Wisconsin Badger fan. I read about your condition on US College Hockey On-Line,
 where I'm known as "MadCityRich".

From what I have read, you are steadily improving...great news. Don't give up the fight and stay strong. Before you know it,
you'll be back on the ice and showing 'em your stuff.

As you can see by the greetings you're receiving, the hockey community is tight knit, unlike any other sport. But you knew that, eh?

Get well soon. I expect to see you skating for Team USA in the Olympics and who knows, maybe for the University of Wisconsin!!

MadCityRich -- Madison, WI
I was shocked to hear what happened after your hockey game. I know that you will be okay in time. You are a very strong, young, beautiful girl.
From what I know about you…you are also a fighter! You will fight and be on those skates before you know it!I certainly remember you from your
days playing summer hockey with the Wolves.  Back then you were a hard working hockey player with a big smile and from what I hear you continue to work
as hard as anyone on the ice. I remember when i coaches Jamie  at Wolves in way back in the year. Jamie, you're amazing girl i know, I really enjoy help you on the ice.

Come back on the ice very soon!! You're the fighter!! #7.

Ryan Mitchell...
Jamie,

I came across your story today and being a Rhode Island native myself, felt a close connection to you and your family.
It is great to hear your recovery is coming along well.  Stay focused on fully regaining your health and keeping your passion
for hockey and things will continue to get better and better.  I look forward to reading about you back on the ice and scoring goals in the near future.

I would love to have you as my guest here at a game of ours. Always know we have tickets waiting for you and your family if/when you visit us!!!!!!!!  Hopefully soon.

Brian Lawton, Tampa Bay Lightning
Jamie,

The efforts and focus that allow you to excel in hockey will also help you in recovery.  Fight hard!  Never give up!  Give it your best!
Wishing you a swift and full recovery.  Keep your eye on your long-term goals and don't let the minor set-backs discourage you.  Best wishes to you and your family!

Robert  LaTerra, CTR MDA/DOCO
Hi Jamie!
I read about your story through a hockey website. I truly hope that you
are feeling better. I went through a similar ordeal two years ago, I could
not play hockey for an entire year, and spent most of that year in a
hospital bed because I couldn't walk. Through that experiance the only
thing that kept me going was the small glimmer of hope that one day soon I
would be better, would head off to school and play hockey there. Now I am
a Junior in highschool and playing everday! I hope that you never lose
sight of your dreams no matter how hard they seem and no matter how hard
you must work, it will all be worth it in the end.
My prayers go out to you and your family in this time of need
-Katherine
Jamie i hope you get well soon. My family is praying for you and we
all hope you get well soon and can play again.

Hey Jamie,
I am a huge hockey fan, a coach and a referee and my daughter is also a 12-year old hockey player.  I cannot wait to see you playing against her in a
big New England tournament in the near future, and one day playing for the NCAA championship together with her!

My daugher Julie LOVES the UMaine men's team, especially Billy Ryan, and she loves the UNH women's team, especially Kacey Bellamy!

Keep fighing.  A positive attitude will help speed your recovery along.
Love and best wishes, Jim
Hi Jamie,

My aunt read about what happened to you on USCHO.com and told me about it. I am so sorry to hear what happened to you.
I play for UNH Women's Ice Hockey Team and from one hockey player to another - you need to keep fighting, work hard, and stay strong!
With the right determination and focus, I'm sure you'll be back on the ice in no time!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Sam Faber
Hi Jamie,

Read about your story in the US Hockey Forum. I'm the father of three young ladies, two of whom play hockey.
Our oldest daughter who is now 18, is in second year university and plays on the Varsity hockey team up here in Ontario, Canada.
She was born with a defect similar to yours that was diagnosed early in her life. She was operated three times to correct the hole in the wall.
The last operation, when se was 12 or 13,  fixed the final problem. She was back on the ice within a month after that operation and has been playing hockey ever since.

So good luck in your recovery, keep your spirits up and remember to keep your dreams alive.

...Harry Welten

Hi Jamie,

I’m so very glad to hear that you’re doing so well.  I just wanted to add my well wishes from all the way in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I am a Northern Michigan fan and I saw your story on USCHO.  Keep fighting to get better and I look forward to reading about your full recovery.

Sean Karsten

Just wanted to send you a note wishing a speedy recovery. I heard about your
situation on USCHO.com. As the zamboni driver for the Mercyhurst Lakers and
the Erie Otters I will pass along to all that you need some prayers. Take
care of yourself and get back on the ice.

Mike
Hi Jamie,
As you know the hockey community is very special.  People all over the country are praying for you and being inspired by your fight.
When you are feeling better I'd like to invite you to join me for dinner and a BC hockey game.

Keep working hard because you inspire us.

Jack Murray
Hi Jamie,

You don't know me, but I just want you to know that people all over
the country are thinking positive thoughts for you today. I'm a big
fan of Minnesota Gopher women's hockey, and after reading your story,
I'm also a fan of Jamie Coyle. Who knows why these things happen to
those who least deserve them, but it is encouraging how often
something good will result from this kind of adversity. Maybe through
this experience you'll meet someone who will change your life for the
better or a new opportunity will be presented. In any case, I pray
that you will be blessed with good health and you'll be back to your
regular life very soon.

Looking forward to reading more about you in the future.

Sincerely,
Arlan Marttila -- aka "ARM" on the USCHO.com forum
Hi Jamie,
My name is Pat Brosnihan and I play hockey at Yale. I found out about your

Hi Jamie
It's me Carmen.  I'm so sorry I didn't get to stop by last night (8/28) and join in on the celebration you guys had over there.
I was so crazy busy. But the news I got from your mom really made me very happy. I'm so glad you're improving!!
God does answer prayers.  Just keep believing and he will be there for you ever time.  I will continue to pray for a complete
recovery for you as will soooo many others who wish you well.   Now, I'm not working until Sunday but I will make sure
I stop in to see you then.  By the way, the dinner you all gave me the other night was very good! "Finger linking good!!"
Thanks for including me in her wonderful family circle.

It sounds like you are a strong young woman and I am sure you will fight hard to overcome these obstacles.  I think this tough time you are having now
will make you even stronger and more determined to fulfill your dream of being the best hockey player you can be. I also want to say that as a mother

Hi Jamie,

I am so thrilled to hear that your tests came out good and that you will be going to a rehab center. God Bless you. I wish I could hug you,
but your Mom is going to have to do that for me. And you hug her too. It was a great article in the paper about you. I love the fact that you
are making EVERYONE paint their toenails red. I'm going to do that too this weekend. I love red nail polish. Channel 10 did a great job
featuring you on the news tonight. That was wonderful, the olympian visiting you. And you got to touch the medal.
Was that a poster of the Jonas brothers on the wall in back of you?

My prayers are still with you that you gain strength every day.

Hello Jamie,

I am praying that you have a complete recovery. I saw the link to
your story on HSGametime on USCHO.  Congratulations on your goal against
the Vermont team.  I am sure that if a mere football player like Tedy
Bruschi can recover from this, a tough hockey player like you can too.
I have bookmarked your site to keep up on your status.  I am a fan of
the Maine Black Bears, and I hope to hear about recruiters bugging you
in a few years for the right to have you represent them.  Jim
Hey Jamie

I saw the segment they did on the news tonight... it was wonderful!
The pictures on this site are great, too.  How cool that you got to hold an Olympic gold medal.. I'm so jealous!

Hi Jamie,
I just saw your story on TV and just wanted to tell you I am praying for your full recovery.
I have a friend in California that suffered a terrible stroke several months ago and he is only in his early fifties.
Because he has followed his doctors instructions to the letter, and has done his therapy as directed,
he is making a remarkable recovery. Never give up and never stop trying!
sincerely,
Walt Barrett
Hey, Jamie,
My name is Diondra and I am in the 8th grade at Bay View. I read the article in the paper today and just wanted
to say that I'm happy that you're getting better, and that I hope to meet you soon at school. (It says in the
paper you're going to be in 8th grade at Bay View. But you probably already knew that. Wanted to make sure
I don't come across as stalker-ish. lol).

Have a speedy recovery&&you'll be in my prayers
~Diondra
Jamie:

I just watched you on tv, what a goal in the New England's.  I have been checking the sight daily to track your progress.  Keep fighting.  Your determination is an inspiration.

Hi Jamie,

It's your favorite second grade teacher!!  (It's Mrs. Caruso, in case you forgot I was your favorite second grade teacher!!).
I'm so happy to hear about all your great progress!!  Everyone at B.F. Norton sends hugs and best wishes for a quick recovery.
Please tell your mom and dad I was asking for them.
Keep working hard and do everything your doctors, nurses and therapists tell you to do.
I will keep checking in on you, just to make sure you're behaving yourself!!  My kids and I will paint our toenails red, too!
I don't think we'll be able to get Mr. Caruso to do it, but we'll try.  He's usually a party pooper!
I'll check back soon-Keep your chin up!
Love,
Mrs. Caruso
Hey Jamie and the Coyles,
I just wanted to let you know that everyobdys here for you. Especially at school. And my grandma that you talked to everyday online. :)
I've known you and your abilitys and how tough you are since the day you stepped into that first grade classroom and we've been bestfriends
since then. I pray that you get well very soon because  you don't know how much I miss you and I miss having the most fun times with you &
and the death hole in industrial arts class and the Bratz Dolls. As my mom keeps saying, "she's always been your sleepover buddy."
This is just another bump in the road and I know for a fact that you are increadibly strong and will fight this without a passion. I know how much
you adore hockey and I hope that you'll be able to keep playing when you recover. I'm not going to keep going on and on about how much I miss
and cannot wait until your better. But I know you know there are like a billion people here for you. Jamie Lee I love you so so so much !
P.S - your still very beautiful and the best rebel ever. :)
 Love,
Val Halen :)

Hi Jamie

It's been a little while since I've seen you and your family, glad to hear your getting better each day.
Jared, Cody and Rick (UIHL)
Jamie,
Just a little love note from Mrs. Karalis .  I call mom every couple of day to check up on you.
Paul, Ty & Christopher ask about you all the time.  You are a tough chick just like you mom.
I know that you will not settle until you are 100%.  You are in my thoughts daily.  Keep pushing.
Hard work will always pay off.  You are the toughest hockey player (Girl or Boy) that I know.
I love ya!!!
Kathy Karalis
Hi Jamie,

We were very sad to hear the news, but are happy to hear of the progress you are making.  If there is anyone strong enough it is you.
It is time now for your favorite team to chime in, NRI Vikings (LOL).  I'll give you a hint .  We met in Worcester a few years back -
you were going to autograph our USA Hockey Magazine - the one that had the article about you.

We wish you all the all the best.  We look forward to seeing you and your family back at the rink.

Craig Colson Jr.
Craig Colson Sr.
Hi Jamie,

My name is Sue and I am a teacher.  I read about you in today's Providence Journal.  Your article hit home with me because I have a PFO too!  I didn't know I had it until
I was pregnant with my second child.  I now take an aspirin every day to keep my blood nice and thin!  They can't correct mine for various reasons.  I wanted you to know
that you inspired me with your drive to get on the ice again.  My eight year old son plays for Warwick Junior Hockey, so I know a few things about hockey and hockey players!
I will look forward to following your story and your rehab.  With a great attitude like yours, I am sure you are capable of a lot!  I'll be praying for you and your family.
Take care of yourself and know that many, many people are pulling for you!  ~  Sue :-)

Jamie,

You are an inspiring, remarkable young woman!

Your story was shared with me through the American Heart Association. My daughter Kaleigh is also a hockey player and a heart survivor. In fact, your stories are very similar.
Kaleigh collapsed during a hockey practice and was rushed to the hospital. They diagnosed her with a congenital heart defect called Wolff Parkinson White (WPW).
After a failed surgery attempt, we were told she could never play hockey again. Of course, being alive was the most important milestone,
but with Kaleigh's determination we continued to find a way - hockey is her life. Finally after another surgery, she is now completely cured!
She played for Austin Prep Hockey (Reading, MA), Lady Monarchs (NH), and TopGun Hockey (MA).
She starts as a Freshman at New England College tomorrow and is a starter on their hockey team!

When I read your story, it brought me back to a similar time when my heart was breaking and my daughter's dreams were thought to be finished (she also wants to play for the
Olympics someday). I've said to this day that Hockey saved her life. If she hadn't been in such good physical condition and had such a strong desire to play hockey, we may
not have had the same outcome. You are an inspiration. What has happened to you is horrible, but your spirit and strength is truly remarkable. And, from the comments
I've read on your blog, you have captured many people's hearts with your story of courage and strength.  Each day will get better.

I am looking forward to hearing about all the wonderful accomplishments you will make. And, about the other student athletes that will be touched by your story.
My daughter doesn't like to talk about herself, but told me that "if sharing her story saves one life than it was all worth it."  Today, at 17 she is a spokesperson for
the American Heart Association and an advocate for student athlete screening. Her story has been shared and to date we have heard about 5 lives that were saved
because of it.  Maybe someday we can connect you two together!

Hang in there and stay strong.

 Fondly,
Laura Costello

Hi Jamie,

What an ordeal...the amazing part is how well you are working through it.  You are a star!! We saw your picture in the Providence Journal today - what a beautiful article.
You've gotten some pretty exciting visitors - you are special :)  Keep smiling and getting better.  We are praying for a full and speedy recovery.......

Hi Jaime;
You don’t know me but I felt compelled to write to you after reading you article in the Providence Journal this morning. You are so brave to have suffered such an event.
I find myself being particularly drawn to your story due to my own circumstances. Fortunately I did not suffer a stroke but had developed a Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
which is a blood clot deep into the veins of my leg at the age of 22. If not caught in time could have led to a heart attack or stroke. It was a scary time for me and my
family and my heart goes out to yours.

I find your courage very uplifting and wish you all the best. I will be looking for you at the Winter Olympics in the coming years!

Regards, Jennifer

THE FRONT PAGE OF THE PROVIDENCE JOURNAL !!!  You are a star Jamie!  I hope you are feeling better.  I heard that Dave and Cody now have red toenails.
How did you manage that?  Sharon, remember to take care of yourself.  Mr. and Mrs. Boulais are praying for your family also.  Sandra

Hi Jamie,
I was so sorry to hear about what happened to you.  I think of you often and I’ll miss your smiling face (especially when you were

will pull through this 100%. I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello Jamie,

You probably don't know me, but I know a little bit about what your going through. I was paralyzed in a hockey game when I was 20 yrs. old.
Although I don't know the details of your prognosis, I'm hopeful you'll have a strong recovery. One thing I've learned since my accident... is there
are times when we choose our challenges, and other times when the challenges simply choose us. It is what we do in the face of those challenges
that will define who we are, and more importantly, who we can and will become.

Being a hockey player, I'm sure you're as tough as they come. Keep fighting.

With love and best wishes,
Travis Roy
hey jamie

I was shocked to hear what happened after your hockey game. I know that you will be okay in time. You are a very strong, young, beautiful girl.
From what I know about you…you are also a fighter! You will fight and be on those skates before you know it!

Jamie & Sharon,

I've been away so I just heard about your medical situation, Jamie.  I was shocked and sorry to hear about this and hope that you're beginning to feel better.
It sounds like it may take a while for you to fully recover.  From everything that your mother has said about you, however, it sounds like you have the strength
and determination to do anything you put your mind to.  On another positive note, I know that your mother is your biggest supporter and that she'll be there for
you every inch of the way as you work to get better.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, Jamie, for a quick recovery.

Sharon, I'm going to call you to see how you're doing and if there's anything I can do.  I'll call you at home and probably end up leaving a message.
I'm sure you're being inundated with phone calls, so don't feel like you have to return my call.  Just call me if you feel like talking.  My thoughts and prayers
are with you also.  Take care of yourself.

Hey Jamie

It's me Carmen, one of your nurse's. I just wanted to say hi and see how you are doing so far since Sunday when
I seen you last. I hope you're doing better with the lovenox shots, but then again I don't think anyone could get
use to getting shots twice a day.  But you are a champ and I know you'll do whatever it takes to get well and back
on the ice making goals again.

Remember to keep smiling.  God bless to you and your dynamite family and extended family (coaches and friends).
It was a pleasure caring for you (minus the shots) and spending time with your family and friends.

 Love

Carmen Hicks

 PS

I hope you mom hasn't knocked any doctors out yet.  :)

Jamie, you may not remember me but I certainly remember you from your days playing summer hockey with the Wolves.
Back then you were a hard working hockey player with a big smile and from what I hear you continue to work
as hard as anyone on the ice.   Many great RI high school hockey players got their start with the Wolves and I
fully expect to see Jamie Coyle turn out to be of those great RI High School hockey players.
Lots of people are cheering for you Jamie!  Keep up the great fight and know that the players and coaches
from the North Smithfield High School Girl's hockey team are thinking of you and praying for your speedy recovery.

Coach Bill Nangle

Jamie,
Your Aunt Charlene called to let us know you were in the hospital.  We are saddened to hear the news.  I bet your Mom and Dad are helping take great care of you.
We wish you the very best and the earliest recover possible.  We remember your georgeous smile and energy.  I should send some pictures that we took.
We are currently back in Texas after being in Wyoming for a few days and taking in the Bike Rally at Sturgis.  We were a little hard  to track down.
We will be here for awhile.  You take care and do as the doctor orders (that includes Mom and Dad).  I can tell  you have
many friends  and well wishers.  Good to hear.  Aunt Mary and Uncle John

Just think of it as another contest, that you are going to win!!  Tell Mom and Dad that we are thinking of them too.

Love,
The Tougas’

Jamie,
I just wanted to pass this note along to you and let you know that you are in my thoughts. Once in a while I will think about you and your mom when you two were at camp and
it always brings a smile to my face.  Whether it was the way you beat the crap out of the boys in just about every sport you played, or the way your mom would talk to me about how
her day was going. You two brought a smile to my face then, and those memories continue to do so.  Katie told me you are doing better and while I cant pretend to know what either
of you are going through all I can say is stay strong, continue to fight, and believe that you will beat this.  Take care.

Hi Jamie;
I just read the Valley Breeze this morning and your story jumped off the pages to me.  You see, I am a stroke survivor and "that other hockey player from Cumberland"
that I believe your mom mentioned to you.  I spoke to Coach Sherman and your mom earlier today and offered my support and my contact information.
I wanted to extend my well wishes to you here and  let you know I'll help  any way I can.  I hope to meet you one day soon, but in the meantime, if I may borrow
a line from Tedy Bruschi-"NEVER give up".
(By the way, from reading the other posts from your hockey family and speaking to your mom - it is clear that they aren't going to give you any other option:)
Stay strong!

Jamie
We have been together for only five months but in those five months you have shown me you are a very good hockey player
but more important you are a great person.  You are a pleasure to coach.  You are hard working and very self motivated.
I am here for you if you need anything.  Stay strong and positive.  Remember keep smiling.
